Beyond Evil

My Review: If I had to describe this show in one word, it would be: MASTERPIECE (a common opinion amongst the viewers of the show). Everything about the show from the casting to the direction to the music to the plotline to the character arc, the entire vibe of the show is simply brilliant. The thriller and suspense keep the viewers on their toes and the main characters (as well as the side characters) all make the show an entirely exciting experience. The chemistry between the main leads is simply beautiful and makes the viewers fell in love with both of them. It is one of those shows that one must watch before one dies. (Yes, it is that good.) Do watch it and let me know which of the main leads is your favorite in the comment section down below. [Mine is Shin Ha-kyun]

Main Cast: Yeo Jin-goo and Shin Ha-Kyun

Overall Rating: 10/10

Main Leads

The Guest

My Review: Someone who is always on the lookout for a thriller/bromance Kdrama, finding The Guest was like finding an oasis. This drama has everything down, from great acting to great chemistry to great direction. In short, everything about the drama keeps you attached to the screens. Another thing that is great about this drama is the supernatural addition, it is the first time I’ve seen something like this and it was an absolute pleasure. I am looking forward to more suspense/supernatural/mystery/bromance Kdramas in the future. For now, I am pleased with this drama and I am looking forward to watching it again.

Main Cast: Kim Jae-Wook and Kim Dong-Wook

Overall Rating: 9.9/10

This scene alone makes me want to watch the whole drama again.
The Trailer is not doing any justice to the show, trust me.

The Devil Judge

My Review: This is one of the most recent additions to the Korean bromance category (of course, Kdramas are still experimenting with the whole genre) but this show is definitely a great addition to the category. The best thing about Kdramas is the excellent plot and this show is indeed a perfect example. Apart from an exciting unique plot, the direction, as well as the music choice, is also brilliant. The drama runs at a perfect pace allowing the viewers to fall deeper in love with the main leads with each episode. If you don’t believe it, just watch the first episode and you will get what I am saying.

Main Cast: Ji Sung and Park Jin-Young

Overall Rating: 9.8/10

Me too, Ji Sung Oppa, Me too. (WE Understand how you feel)

My Review: This 2018 Chinese drama was a sensation nationally as well as internationally, it created a fan base that no one saw coming and it is entirely thanks to the great chemistry between the main leads. We all know how strict the Chinese censorship is regarding the subject of anything related to Boy’s Love or Bromance but nevertheless, the main leads of the drama have, with their great acting skills, proved what good acting can achieve. The drama is based on a famous Chinese BL novel, although the plot has been modified keeping in consideration the Chinese censorship, I can guarantee that the drama is excellent primarily due to the chemistry between the main leads. Do watch it and let me know which of the main leads is your favorite in the comment section down below. [Mine is Bai Yu]

Main Cast: Zhu Yi Long and Bai Yu

Overall Rating: 9.8/10

I don’t add edits to my posts but this is too good not to add. Guys watch the show, the main characters are just too lovable.

The Good Detective

My Review: The Good Detective is another great contribution by the Kdrama world to all the bromance lovers in the world. Again, the drama is packed with excellent writing, great chemistry between the main leads, amazing script, and the overall drama is simply a chef’s kiss. Apart from the enthralling plot, the comedy scenes make the drama so much lighter and cuter (when you watch the first two episodes, you will get what I am saying). It is a must-watch, in my opinion.

Main Cast: Jang Seung-Jo and Son Hyun-Joo

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

My Review: In this list, there are two dramas where the bromance in the drama is in addition to the romance plotline and not the primary attention. In the Goblin, the bromance is between the main male lead and the second male lead but of course, both characters have their own separate romance plotlines. Irrespective of this, the bromance in the drama is so cute that you’re bound to love the main leads, their interactions with each other are simply too adorable. The overall drama is a great watch and the story in itself is so great.

Main Cast: Gong Yoo, Kim Go-Eun, Lee Dong-Wook, and Yoo In-Na

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

The last one minute of the trailer, you guys.

The Untamed

My Review: The second Chinese drama that aired in 2019 after the Guardian is the Untamed and it is the drama that achieved a similar or even higher level of success in comparison with the former drama. Obviously, it would be wrong of me to compare both dramas as both are different plot-wise. For starters, the Untamed is a period drama set in a wuxia style setting which is different from the style Guardian is directed in. Nevertheless, the drama is an excellent watch and I am sure you will fall in love with the main leads. In addition, I would like to mention that I loved the theme music of the show as well. And as for my favorite character, it is definitely Wei Wuxian i.e., played by the gorgeous Xiao Zhan.

Main Cast: Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

30sai made Dotei dato Mahotsukai ni Narerurashii

My Review: The drama 30sai made Dotei dato Mahotsukai ni Narerurashii also known as Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!. This Japanese BL drama aired last year and is loved by the viewers because of the unique plotline as well as the cutest chemistry between the main leads. I mean Akaso Eiji’s (main character) chemistry with Machida Keita (main lead) is simply too adorable (there are scenes where I’ve stopped playing the episode just to come to terms with the cuteness of Akaso Eiji). In addition, the entire drama is a great watch and one of the best BL contributions from the Japanese drama world.

Main Cast: Akaso Eiji and Machida Keita

Overall Rating: 10/10

Killer and Healer

My Review: The Chinese drama industry has shocked viewers all around the world with some of the most amazing BL/Bromance dramas even though there is such strict censorship. The drama Killer and Healer is one of those dramas, it aired this year and is loved by the viewers. The subtle yet strong chemistry between the main character and the main lead has caused viewers to love the drama. The story doesn’t feel fast or slow-paced and has maintained a constant momentum throughout the drama.

***I don’t want to spoil the drama for anyone but just beware that the ending may cause “some” tears.***

Main Cast: Mao Zi Jun and Ian Yi

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

Addicted (Web Series)

My Review: Another Chinese BL drama that aired way back in 2016 is the drama called Addicted Heroin. The chemistry between the two main leads in the drama seemed so real that the Chinese authorities decided to ban the last two episodes of the drama to be aired on any streaming platform and even got it removed from YouTube. Later, the Chinese authorities didn’t stop there and also, barred the two main leads from ever performing together or seen together. Too much? I guess so but this just shows how great the chemistry between the two main leads must have been.

Main Cast: Huang Jingyu and Xu Weizhou

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

To My Star

My Review: It seems that the Kdrama To My Star is another experimental addition by the Korean film industry and the viewers aren’t complaining. As mentioned above, Korean BL dramas are some of the most excellent additions to the BL genre and To My Star is no exception. The plotline is unique, this time we’re getting a couple where one is a chef and the other a famous actor. I mean c’mon, the characters themselves are so interesting that we’re bound to watch them plus their cute onscreen chemistry is icing on the cake. The theme music is also one of my favorite and I have definitely added it to my playlist.

Main Cast: Kim Kang-Min and Son Woo-Hyun

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

Color Rush

My Review: We’ve another addition to the list of BL dramas from South Korea and it is one of my favorite BL Kdramas out there. The plot revolves around two high school boys who live in a world where there exist fated pairs who are bound by unfortunate conditions. Throughout the drama, we see how they solve each hurdle put forth them, and move a step closer towards each other. By the end of the drama, we are left with a tingling feeling in our hearts. The drama is definitely a 10 out of 10. Also, because of how good the drama was, the production team has recently announced that there will be a second season.

Main Cast: Yoo Jun and Hyun Jun Heo

Overall Rating: 10/10

Light On Me

My Review: First of all, this drama has some of the most interesting and funny characters. There are scenes where I just burst out laughing because of how good and innocently funny it was. The drama is set in a high school setting where the main leads are members of the student council. This drama falls under the troupe of Enemies to Lovers categories and it is definitely one of the cutest Kdramas out there. Obviously, the South Korean industry is still experimenting with the genre but is getting more open to new options because of the immense fan base. As we can see how the time duration of these dramas is getting longer from the previous 8 to 9 minutes to now 19 to 20 mins.

Main Cast: Lee Sae On and Kang Yoo Seok

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

Dark Blue Kiss

My Review: The Dark Blue Kiss is a Thai drama released back in 2019, a follow-up series to the story of Pete and Kao of the Kiss Me Again Series. People fell in love with the story of Pete and Kao and that led to the creation of Dark Blue Kiss. The drama is definitely not the best out of all the BL dramas out there but it is definitely one of the best from the Thai BL dramas and considering that Thai BL dramas are released quite “frequently”, this drama is definitely one of the best. Moreover, keeping in mind that the two main leads, Tay and New are one of the four golden pillars of GMMTV, we can picture how great their chemistry must be. In addition, I, myself, am a Polca (fan name of the couple) and once you watch them, you will get what I am saying. The drama is entertaining and refreshing, the pair is so cute that we can’t help ourselves from loving them.

Main Cast: Tay and Newwie (Also, known as TayNew)

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

Still 2gether

My Review: Still 2gether: The Series, a Thai BL drama that was released in 2020 can be considered one of the cutest Thai BL dramas out there. The plot is definitely not the best but it is the cute chemistry between the main leads and funny side characters that keep the drama entertaining. There are so many memorable scenes in the drama because of how well the main leads have portrayed the characters. A must-watch, to be honest. Let me know in the comment sections down below who your favorite out the two main leads is, for me, it is Bright.

Main Cast: Vachirawit Chivaaree (Bright) and Metawin Opas-iamkajorn (Win)

Overall Rating: 9.7/10

A Tale of Thousand Stars

My Review: A Tale of Thousand Stars can be considered one of the few gems that the Thai BL industry has contributed plot-wise. The story is unique and the chemistry between the main leads is fire. Most importantly, the main lead is too adorable. The interactions between the main leads are so adorable similar to a married couple which makes our hearts go all wobbly-wobbly.

Main Cast: Pirapat Watthanasetsiri (Earth) and Sahaphap Wongratch (Mix)

Overall Rating: 9.6/10

Manner of Death

My Review: Manner of Death is the last Thai BL drama that I’ve mentioned in this list, although there is a large number of Thai BL dramas out there, I’ve decided to add these only a few because of a number of reasons. One of these reasons being a good (/interesting) plotline. Manner of Death has an interesting plotline and is definitely one of the rare gems that the Thai BL industry has provided its Thriller/Suspense BL genre lovers. If you’re looking to watch a drama that has all the good characteristics of Thai BL drama and also, fulfills your Thriller craving then this drama is to go to.

Main Cast: 9.6/10

Overall Rating: Tul Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai and Max Nattapol Diloknawarit (TulMax)
